This dual-purpose equestrian barn was designed as both a home for horses and a gathering space for the family that cares for them. The lean-to porch, wide center aisle, custom cedar doors, and standing-seam metal roof give the exterior a welcoming, traditional feel, perfect for its tranquil surroundings. The owner was enamored by B&D Builders’ previous projects and designs, and the ensuing collaboration centered on creating a space that married form and function. B&D continues to provide support and updates to this barn as needed, signaling the strength of the work and relationship.
This traditional timber frame barn uses mortise and tenon joinery with planed hemlock timbers to provide structural integrity and visual appeal.
A second-floor gathering area with open views to the space below provides a tranquil meeting place for the family. Every meal, every family milestone, is a chance to come together in a meaningful space forged with purpose and meaning.
